Help! I'm Torn: Lenovo Thinkpad or MacBook?

I will give you a good idea of IBM in the past. I refurbish laptops to sell and IBM laptops have almost ALWAYS had backlight issues! Get on ebay and look up broke, used, bad, asi-is IBM laptops and 7 out of 10 have a backlight issue. Not sure if they have got any better, I just purchased one that is just over a year old and suprise...backlight is bad! Mac on the other hand I have alomost no experience with, but never hear anything bad about them besides compatability issues as far as software and hardware goes.
