Acclimating A Dog With High Prey Drive?

I got a er Spaniel when he was 8 that hated cats. He kept jumping on my cat. My husband showed him the cat. Hit him. He tried to get the cat eveytime he tried to get the cat he told him now and poped him he didn't want to see the cat or touch him anymore. You have to let him know it is not ok. Get him in control
